The WB-TReDS Platform (West Bengal Trade Receivables Discounting System) is an initiative of the Government of West Bengal under the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) & Textiles Department to facilitate quick realization of payments through the Trade Receivables Discounting System (TReDS). The platform supports Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, including artisans, weavers, and small producers engaged in the supply of goods and services.

By enabling digital submission of approved invoices and access to invoice discounting, the Trade Receivables Discounting System helps vendors convert invoices into immediate working capital, reducing financial stress and supporting uninterrupted production and sustainable livelihoods.

How it Works ?

Invoice Upload

An MSME (seller) raises an invoice against a large corporate buyer and uploads it to the TReDS platform.

Buyer Approval

The corporate buyer approves the invoice on the platform.

Discounting/Bidding

Multiple financiers (banks/NBFCs) bid to discount the invoice, offering rates based on the buyer's creditworthiness.

Early Payment

The MSME can choose the best bid and receive early payment, minus the discount.

Collection

The financier collects the full invoice amount from the buyer on the due date.
